The Team

Meet the voices behind the bar.

Three different journeys. One shared table.
Each of us brings our own story — of faith, ministry, and a fair bit of laughter — to the conversation.

Rev. Leslie Newton – The Minister

Leslie is a Methodist Minister and the Chair of the Yorkshire North and East District, where he also serves as Chair of the national District Chairs.
He brings decades of ministry experience, a calm head, and a sharp sense of humour to every discussion.
Leslie’s passion lies in helping the Church rediscover its sense of purpose — not through endless meetings, but through real, relational community (and the occasional good brew).

Rev. Harry Steele – The Vicar

Harry is an Anglican Priest and Chaplain to the Bishop of Sheffield.
Known for his thoughtful insights, good stories, and gentle humour, Harry helps us explore how faith and tradition can still surprise and inspire in today’s world.
He’s equally at home in the cathedral or the coffee shop.

Thomas Rattigan – The Punter

Tom is our resident punter — bringing a grounded, everyday perspective to the mix.
He works as a Missional Property Enabler for both the Sheffield and Bridge Circuits, sits on the board of TMCP (Trustees for Methodist Church Purposes), and spends much of his time helping churches imagine new life in old buildings.
Tom’s questions often start with “What if…?”, which usually means we’re about to have a great conversation.
